Site Google Map added

Armed with my trusty copy of Google Maps Hacks and recent copy of .NET magazine, I’ve added some Google Maps magic to the site.

Since I first thought this might be a nice way to pull together the content on the site, I discovered two other scuba sites that had already beaten me to the punch.

Tim Sheerman-Chase has listed out every dive centre you might ever need in and around Dahab, Egypt and included them on Google Maps. (He also has some great videos on YouTube.)

Cor Bosman and Julie Edwards have some stunning macro photography on their site, including numerous photos from Wakatobi. In addition, I found they have a map of the places they’ve visited. (And they have more pins on theirs than I have on mine at the moment!)

There’s so much you can do with Google Maps and the image resolution is getting impressive in many areas of interest to divers: check out the detail around Male airport for example – anyone who’s done a liveaboard in the Maldives in recent years has likely hung out here at the top and tail of their trip.
