Another video from our April trip to Wakatobi. The videos I posted already concentrated on the various critters we saw, as opposed to the reefs themselves. And that’s a shame, as the reefs in this part of the world are amongst the finest I’ve ever seen. This clip aims to make up for that omission by concentrating on the reefs themselves.
Don’t come to Wakatobi to see big fish. They’re all gone. In their place, though, you’ll find rich coral formations, many varieties of sponge, and thousands of reef fish.
Although this 9 minute clip doesn’t concentrate on the critters, there are a few included: cuttlefish, moray, pipefish, giant clam, pufferfish, porcupine fish and banded sea krait (sea snake) slinking its way along the reef.
