Hallett Peak over Bear Lake

Hallett Peak over Bear Lake

September 2008

Hallett Peak is one of the most distinctive mountains visible in Rocky Mountain National Park, for me, probably the most distinctive after Longs itself. Bear Lake doesn’t offer that many great viewpoints, being surrounded by some fairly steep gradients on the north and west sides. However, this particular morning provided something a little different, in the way of a heavy but fairly rapidly clearing fog.
